Public involvement is such a crucial element of project development that CFX is committed to enhancing our engagement with federal, state and local agency partners, key stakeholders and the community at large. We go above and beyond the standard of public meetings, municipal board and community presentations, and participating in local events. For example, CFX established Community Engagement Groups – made up of key local stakeholders – to join our standing Project Advisory and Environmental Advisory Groups.
Specifically for the development of SR 534, CFX convened a Working Group – of key stakeholders and environmental advocates – during the Concept Feasibility and Mobility Study that helped shape the robust environmental and other commitments that are now part of the project. CFX also established an overall Environmental Stewardship Committee to ensure the responsible use and protection of the natural environment as we implement projects in the Five-Year Work Plan.
We want our customers and stakeholders to have numerous and varied opportunities to provide feedback through community meetings and events, municipal board presentations, public meetings and public communications channels such as social media, a dedicated phone line, email address, project website and virtual resource space (coming soon) to allow for continuous feedback.
Here are some ways we can help you stay updated on the latest news regarding SR 534:
